The fork is made out of steel, which is tougher than carbon in the case of an impact. However, it can add some extra weight to the bike.

As for the wheels, Fuji CLASSIC 650c (EURO) 2010, has a 27.5″ aluminum model. 27.5″ wheels are a mixture between 29″ wheels and 26″ wheels. However, the overall traction of 27.5″ wheels is lower than 29″ wheels.
