About this model

Pure Lowstep components
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of steel, which is tougher than carbon in the case of an impact. However, it can add some extra weight to the bike.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Pure Lowstep model has 26″ aluminum wheels. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek Pure Lowstep has Rim brakes installed. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
