As for the wheels, Trek 2.3 WSD 2009, has a 700c aluminum model. There is no doubt, that 700c wheels are very popular on all road bike models. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The 2.3 WSD has Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
