The fork on this bike is made out of aluminum, which is a lighter material. However, it is not as tough, nor durable as steel is.

Specialized FSRxc bike has the X Fusion 02RLA model installed, and has a travel of 100mm. Rear shocks offer better comfort, better traction, and better cornering. This allows for quicker riding on rough roads and trails. To sum up, get a full-suspension bike if you want the smoothest rides.
Wheels
