Overview of components
Fork material
Newest 4.0 (US only) has a steel fork, so, it can add some extra weight to your bike. However, steel is a pretty tough and durable material.
Wheels
As for the wheels, Fuji Newest 4.0 (US only) 2008, has a 700c aluminum model. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Newest 4.0 (US only) has Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
