4900 components
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the 4900 model has 26″ aluminum wheels. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The 4900 comes with Mechanical Disc brakes. They deliver good performance and cost less than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
