Overview of components
Fork
The Advance comes factory-installed with the RST CAPA fork. This has a travel range of 75mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Wheels
The Advance 2007 bike is equipped with 26″ wheels when leaving the factory. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Advance has Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
