HiFi Pro components
Fork
Gary Fisher HiFi Pro 2008 bike is equipped with the Fox fork, and has 120mm travel. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. In conclusion, always look for a fork with decent travel when you buy a bike.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the HiFi Pro model has 29″ aluminum wheels. Having 29″ wheels means that you need less fork travel, leading to a reduction of the pedal bob effect. However, 29″ wheels will make your bike react slower to obstacles you may encounter.
Brakes
Stopping the bike when needed, it’s essential for your safety. This bike has Hydraulic Disc brakes. With Hydraulic Disc brakes, you’ll be able to stop on a dime, even in wet or icy conditions. To sum up, your safety is in good hands.
Sizes
There are 4 sizes available for this model. Rider height can be anywhere between 158 cm – 199 cm (5.18 ft – 6.53 ft). In conclusion, you won’t have a problem finding one that suits you.
