Overview of components
Fork material
The fork is made out of carbon, so, its weight is considerably lighter than one made out of steel. However, they cost a bit more than steel forks.
Wheels size
As for the wheels, Scott Foil 10 2017, has a 700c aluminum model. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Foil 10 comes with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
Sizes
There are 7 sizes available for this model. Rider height can be anywhere between 157 cm – 204 cm (5.15 ft – 6.69 ft). In short, it won’t be difficult to find the right one for you.
