The Mission 2 comes factory-installed with the Fox Performance Float 36 fork. This has a travel range of 160mm. Bike forks are great for shock absorption and provide you with a smooth ride. In short, you should always ensure you have a good fork when purchasing a bike.
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of aluminum, which is a lighter material. However, it is not as tough, nor durable as steel is.
Rear Shock
The shock that’s installed on this bike is Fox Float DPS EVOL, with a travel distance of 160mm. Bike rear shocks increase the riding comfort, and also give you more control over technical trails. In short, if you want smooth rides, get a full-suspension bicycle.
Wheels
As for the wheels, Diamondback Mission 2 2017, has a 27.5″ aluminum model. 27.5″ wheels are a mixture between 29″ wheels and 26″ wheels. However, the overall traction of 27.5″ wheels is lower than 29″ wheels.
