Optic A7.2 components
Fork
Norco Optic A7.2 2017 bike is equipped with the RockShox Sektor fork, and has 130mm travel. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. In conclusion, always look for a fork with decent travel when you buy a bike.
Rear Shock
As for the rear shock, this bike has the Fox Float DPS Performane EVOL model, with a travel of 120mm. Bike rear shocks increase the riding comfort, and also give you more control over technical trails. In short, a full-suspension bike will give you the smoothest ride possible.
Wheels size
The wheels on Optic A7.2 are the 29″ aluminum type. Having 29″ wheels means that you need less fork travel, leading to a reduction of the pedal bob effect. However, the 29″ wheels will add a little more weight to the bike itself.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Optic A7.2 comes with Hydraulic Disc brakes. With Hydraulic Disc brakes, you’ll be able to stop on a dime, even in wet or icy conditions. To sum up, your safety is in good hands.
Sizes
This bike is available in 5 sizes. They vary from 156 cm – 195 cm (5.12 ft – 6.4 ft). In short, it won’t be difficult to find the right one for you.
Dropper post
The Norco model is also equipped with a dropper post. If used correctly, a dropper post gives you more faith, maneuverability, and greater control over your bike.
