Rift Zone 5 components
Fork
The fork installed on this bike is the SunTour model. The travel on this model is 120mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. In short, you should always ensure you have a good fork when purchasing a bike.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Rear Shock
Bike rear shocks are a great way to increase comfort on the bike and give you more control when riding on technical trails. In short, a full-suspension bike will give you the smoothest ride possible.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the Rift Zone 5 model has 29″ aluminum wheels. These wheels are more forgiving when you go over roots, rocks, bumps, or other obstacles you encounter on your ride. However, these wheels are not ideal for smaller people.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Marin Rift Zone 5 is equipped with Hydraulic Disc brakes. With Hydraulic Disc brakes, you’ll be able to stop on a dime, even in wet or icy conditions. To sum up, these are ideal for anyone.
Sizes
This bike is available in 4 sizes. They vary from 158 cm – 199 cm (5.18 ft – 6.53 ft). In conclusion, you won’t have a problem finding one that suits you.
Dropper post
Marin Rift Zone 5 includes a dropper post. Needless to say, a dropper post will come in handy on climbs and descends. You’ll fall in love with it at first sight!
