As a general rule of thumb, you should always read reviews about the bike and its components before buying it to ensure you don’t pay too much.
Overview of components
Fork material
ROVE AL has an aluminum fork, which is a lighter material. However, it is not as tough, nor durable as steel is.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the ROVE AL model has 700c aluminum wheels. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Kona ROVE AL is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. They deliver good performance and cost less than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
