Overview of components
Fork material
VFR 2 has a carbon fork, so, its weight is considerably lighter than one made out of steel. However, they cost a bit more than steel forks.
Wheels size
The VFR 2 2015 bike is equipped with 700c aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. There is no doubt, that 700c wheels are very popular on all road bike models. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The VFR 2 comes with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
