KRX components
Fork material
The fork is made out of aluminum, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the KRX model has 26″ wheels. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek KRX is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
