7.2 FX components
Fork material
7.2 FX has a steel fork, which tends to be more flexible than carbon forks in general. However, a carbon fork is considerably lighter.
Wheels
As for the wheels, Trek 7.2 FX 2015, has a 700c model. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek 7.2 FX is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
