Overview of components
Fork material
The fork is made out of steel, so, it can add some extra weight to your bike. However, steel is a pretty tough and durable material.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the Absolute 2.1 model has 700c aluminum wheels. There is no doubt, that 700c wheels are very popular on all road bike models. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Fuji Absolute 2.1 has Rim brakes installed. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
