Fork
The Nevada Comp 1.7 comes factory-installed with the SunTour XCT fork. This has a travel range of 100mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Wheels
When it comes to wheels, the Nevada Comp 1.7 bike is equipped with the 26″ aluminum model. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Fuji Nevada Comp 1.7 has Mechanical Disc brakes installed. They are much easier to maintain than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
