Overview of components
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of steel, which is tougher than carbon in the case of an impact. However, it can add some extra weight to the bike.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Work 1 Step Through model has 700c aluminum wheels. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Specialized Work 1 Step Through is equipped with Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
Sizes
Work 1 Step Through comes in 4 sizes, that range from 151 cm – 184 cm (4.95 ft – 6.04 ft). In short, you can easily find one that suits you.
