MOHALA components
Fork
Kona MOHALA 2014 bike is equipped with the RockShox fork, and has 100mm travel. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Wheels
The MOHALA 2014 bike is equipped with 29″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Having 29″ wheels means that you need less fork travel, leading to a reduction of the pedal bob effect. However, the 29″ wheels will add a little more weight to the bike itself.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Kona MOHALA is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes are also very popular, and a lot cheaper than hydraulic disk brakes. However, they don’t have the stopping power of hydraulic brakes.
