Overview of components
Fork
The Edge 26 comes factory-installed with the SunTour fork. This has a travel range of 63mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. In conclusion, always look for a fork with decent travel when you buy a bike.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Edge 26 model has 26″ aluminum wheels. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Edge 26 comes with Mechanical Disc brakes. They deliver good performance and cost less than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
