TANUKI components
Fork
Kona TANUKI 2013 bike is equipped with the RockShox Sektor fork, and has 130mm travel. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. In conclusion, always look for a fork with decent travel when you buy a bike.
Rear Shock
The TANUKI has a rear shock with a travel of 130mm. The model RockShox Monarch R is the one installed in this bike. Wheels
The TANUKI 2013 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Kona TANUKI is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. They deliver good performance and cost less than hydraulic disk brakes. However, with hydraulic disk brakes, you have the ultimate braking power!
