TIKA components
Fork
The TIKA comes factory-installed with the RockShox fork. This has a travel range of 100mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the TIKA model has 26″ aluminum wheels. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Kona TIKA has Mechanical Disc brakes installed. These brakes are also very popular, and a lot cheaper than hydraulic disk brakes. However, they don’t have the stopping power of hydraulic brakes.
