Overview of components
Fork
The SunTour NEX is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 63mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. In short, make sure you choose one with a decent fork when you purchase your dream bike.
Wheels
The Crosstown 26 1.1 LS 2013 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Crosstown 26 1.1 LS has Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
