Hardrock SE components
Fork
The SunTour XCT is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 80mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Fork material
Hardrock SE has an aluminum fork, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels
The Hardrock SE 2012 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
