When you go for a ride, don’t forget to put your helmet on. Moreover, ride with traffic, not against it. This will help you stay visible to drivers and also makes it easier for them to see you.
Average price for Comfort bikes
If you want an acceptable Comfort bike you should know that the average price is 360$. However, even if your budget is less than the average, you might still be able to get a top-quality Comfort bike. In short, before purchasing your ideal bike do some research about its components, and also check for reviews online.
Expedition Low-Entry components
Fork
This bike has the SunTour NEX fork installed. The fork’s travel is 63mm. Bike forks are great for shock absorption and provide you with a smooth ride. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of aluminum, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Wheels size
As for the wheels, Specialized Expedition Low-Entry 2012, has a 26″ aluminum model. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Specialized Expedition Low-Entry is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
Sizes
Expedition Low-Entry comes in 3 sizes, that range from 158 cm – 187 cm (5.18 ft – 6.14 ft). In conclusion, it won’t take much to find one that’s right for you.
