Wheels size
The MT 220 Boy’s 2012 bike is equipped with 24″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. The 24″ wheels are a good fit for folding bikes, BMX, or children bikes. In conclusion, you can use them better on-road, and less on technical terrain.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek MT 220 Boy’s is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
