The fork on this bike is made out of carbon, so, its weight is considerably lighter than one made out of steel. However, they cost a bit more than steel forks.
Wheels
The Newest 2.0 2012 bike is equipped with 700c aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. There is no doubt, that 700c wheels are very popular on all road bike models. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Newest 2.0 comes with Rim brakes. Rim brakes deliver an average performance overall. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
