As a general rule of thumb, you should always read reviews about the bike and its components before buying it to ensure you don’t pay too much.
P.2 components
Fork
The Marzocchi is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 80mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. In short, make sure you choose one with a decent fork when you purchase your dream bike.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Wheels
The P.2 2010 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Specialized P.2 has Hydraulic Disc brakes installed. Hydraulic disc brakes provide amazing stopping power, no matter what the terrain. To sum up, you can ride your bike with confidence.
