Rockhopper SL Pro components
Fork
The RockShox Reba is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 100mm. Bike forks are great for shock absorption and provide you with a smooth ride. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels
The Rockhopper SL Pro 2010 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Rockhopper SL Pro comes with Hydraulic Disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes provide amazing stopping power, no matter what the terrain. To sum up, these are ideal for anyone.
