Allez Double Steel has a steel fork, so, it can add some extra weight to your bike. However, steel is a pretty tough and durable material.
Wheels
The Allez Double Steel 2010 bike is equipped with 700c aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. There is no doubt, that 700c wheels are very popular on all road bike models. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Allez Double Steel comes with Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
