Cobia components
Fork
Gary Fisher Cobia 2009 bike is equipped with the RockShox fork, and has 80mm travel. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Cobia model has 29″ aluminum wheels. These wheels are more forgiving when you go over roots, rocks, bumps, or other obstacles you encounter on your ride. However, 29″ wheels will make your bike react slower to obstacles you may encounter.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Gary Fisher Cobia is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. They deliver good performance and cost less than hydraulic disk brakes. However, they don’t have the stopping power of hydraulic brakes.
Sizes
Cobia comes in 4 sizes, that range from 158 cm – 199 cm (5.18 ft – 6.53 ft). In short, you can easily find one that suits you.
