Overview of components
Fork
The SunTour XCT is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 100mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Wheels
The wheels on Lana’i are the 26″ aluminum type. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Lana’i has Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes are also very popular, and a lot cheaper than hydraulic disk brakes. However, they don’t have the stopping power of hydraulic brakes.
