Crosscountry bikes average price
If you want an acceptable Crosscountry bike you should know that the average price is 1905$. However, this doesn’t mean that if you spend less money on a Crosscountry bike, you couldn’t get a decent one. As a general rule of thumb, you should always read reviews about the bike and its components before buying it to ensure you don’t pay too much.
When Norco released this model in 2008, its price was 459$. Comparing this to the average Crosscountry bike price, we see that the price is 315.03% smaller.
SCRAMBLER components
Fork
The SunTour XCT is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 75mm. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. In conclusion, always look for a fork with decent travel when you buy a bike.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the SCRAMBLER model has 26″ aluminum wheels. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Norco SCRAMBLER is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes are also very popular, and a lot cheaper than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
