Crosscountry bikes average price
If you want an acceptable Crosscountry bike you should know that the average price is 1905$. However, this doesn’t mean that if you spend less money on a Crosscountry bike, you couldn’t get a decent one. As a general rule of thumb, you should always read reviews about the bike and its components before buying it to ensure you don’t pay too much.

Fork material
Clyde has a steel fork, which tends to be more flexible than carbon forks in general. However, a carbon fork is considerably lighter.
Wheels size
The Clyde 2007 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek Clyde has Coaster brakes installed. These brakes are pretty efficient, and they’re not so pricey. However, if your chain falls off or snaps, your coaster brakes won’t function anymore.
