Wheels size
The Solstice 2004 bike is equipped with 26″ wheels when leaving the factory. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek Solstice has Rim brakes installed. Rim brakes deliver an average performance overall. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
