Fork
Trek Sugar1 2002 bike is equipped with the Manitou fork, and has 80mm travel. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Wheels
