Fork material
The fork is made out of steel, which tends to be more flexible than carbon forks in general. However, a carbon fork is considerably lighter.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the Gorilla Monsoon model has aluminum wheels. 650b wheels make a great choice if you want to sacrifice speed for comfort. However, they don’t perform so well when you go over bumps and obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Gorilla Monsoon comes with Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes are also very popular, and a lot cheaper than hydraulic disk brakes. However, performance-wise there is room for improvement.
