Fork material
Downtown EX has a steel fork, which tends to be more flexible than carbon forks in general. However, a carbon fork is considerably lighter.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Downtown EX model has 700c aluminum wheels. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Downtown EX comes with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
