Ferrous components
Fork
Gary Fisher Ferrous 2007 bike is equipped with the RockShox Revelation RC fork, and has 115mm travel. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Wheels size
The wheels on Ferrous are the 26″ aluminum type. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
