Overview of components
Fork material
The fork is made out of carbon, so, its weight is considerably lighter than one made out of steel. However, they cost a bit more than steel forks.
Wheels size
The wheels on REACTO 500 are the 700c aluminum type. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The REACTO 500 comes with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
