Aero bikes average price
If you want an acceptable Aero bike you should know that the average price is 4211$. However, this doesn’t mean that if you spend less money on an Aero bike, you couldn’t get a decent one. To sum up, when you purchase your bike, make sure to check if it has reviews, and also do some components research.
Aero bikes average weight
On a deeper look, we notice that the average weight of an Aero bike is 7.34 kg (16.18 lbs). You will have a greater advantage on climbs if your bike is easier than the average. On descents, however, a heavier bike will give you extra speed.
Foil 30 weighs 8.2 kg (18.08 lbs) and is considerably heavier than the average. To sum up, it’s 11.72% heavier than the average weight of Aero bikes.
Overview of components
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of carbon, so, it’s a great addition to the bike’s value. However, carbon forks should be regularly inspected for damage because even the smallest crack could cause the fork to fall apart.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the Foil 30 model has 700c aluminum wheels. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Foil 30 has Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
Sizes
Scott Foil 30 bike has 7 sizes, in the range of 157 cm – 204 cm (5.15 ft – 6.69 ft). In conclusion, finding one for you shouldn’t be a problem.
