Ariel components
Fork
The SunTour is included from the factory. It has a travel distance of 75mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Fork material
Ariel has an aluminum fork, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels size
As for the wheels, Specialized Ariel 2012, has a 700c aluminum model. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
