Overview of components
Fork
This bike has the Fox fork installed. The fork’s travel is 100mm. Bike forks are perfect to absorb shocks and provide a great riding experience overall. To sum it all, when buying a bike, ensure that you look for a fork capable of decent travel.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Rear Shock
From the factory, it comes with the Fox/SBC remote mini-brain rear shock model, which has a travel of 100mm. Bike rear shocks are a great way to increase comfort on the bike and give you more control when riding on technical trails. To sum up, get a full-suspension bike if you want the smoothest rides.
Wheels
The Era FSR Comp 2010 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The Era FSR Comp comes with Hydraulic Disc brakes. These kinds of brakes are among the most popular models used on bikes. To sum up, your safety is in good hands.
Sizes
There are 3 sizes available for this model. Rider height can be anywhere between 158 cm – 187 cm (5.18 ft – 6.14 ft). In short, you can easily find one that suits you.
