Average price for Trail bikes
Our math shows that the average cost of a dependable Trail bike is 2762$. However, paying less money than this amount doesn’t mean that you couldn’t get a great Trail bike. In short, before purchasing your ideal bike do some research about its components, and also check for reviews online.
Overview of components
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Rear Shock
Specialized FSRxc bike has the X Fusion 02RLA model installed, and has a travel of 120mm. Rear shocks offer better comfort, better traction, and better cornering. This allows for quicker riding on rough roads and trails. To sum up, get a full-suspension bike if you want the smoothest rides.
Wheels size
As for the wheels, Specialized FSRxc 2010, has a 26″ aluminum model. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The FSRxc has Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
Sizes
FSRxc comes in 4 sizes, that range from 158 cm – 199 cm (5.18 ft – 6.53 ft). In conclusion, it won’t take much to find one that’s right for you.
