Fork
This bike has the SunTour XCT fork installed. The fork’s travel is 80mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. In short, you should always ensure you have a good fork when purchasing a bike.
Fork material
Hardrock Sport Disc has an aluminum fork, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels
The Hardrock Sport Disc 2010 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. They are much easier to maintain than hydraulic disk brakes. However, with hydraulic disk brakes, you have the ultimate braking power!
