Myka 26 components
Fork
The Myka 26 comes factory-installed with the SunTour fork. This has a travel range of 75mm. Bike forks are good shock absorbers and provide a smooth ride and a great experience. To sum up, when buying a bicycle, make sure you get a fork that is capable of delivering decent travel.
Fork material
Myka 26 has an aluminum fork, so there won’t be much extra weight added to the bike. However, they are not so stiff as carbon forks are.
Wheels size
The wheels on Myka 26 are the 26″ aluminum type. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Specialized Myka 26 has Rim brakes installed. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
