P.1 components
Fork
The P.1 comes factory-installed with the Marzocchi fork. This has a travel range of 80mm. Bike forks are great for shock absorption and provide you with a smooth ride. In short, you should always ensure you have a good fork when purchasing a bike.
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of steel, which is tougher than carbon in the case of an impact. However, it can add some extra weight to the bike.
Wheels size
The wheels on P.1 are the 26″ aluminum type. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The P.1 has Mechanical Disc brakes. They are much easier to maintain than hydraulic disk brakes. However, they don’t have the stopping power of hydraulic brakes.
