P.1 All Mountain Disc components
Fork
The P.1 All Mountain Disc comes factory-installed with the SunTour XCM fork. This has a travel range of 100mm. Bike forks absorb the shocks and give you a smooth and pleasant ride. In short, make sure you choose one with a decent fork when you purchase your dream bike.
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has an aluminum one, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Wheels size
The P.1 All Mountain Disc 2009 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Specialized P.1 All Mountain Disc is equipped with Mechanical Disc brakes. They are much easier to maintain than hydraulic disk brakes. However, with hydraulic disk brakes, you have the ultimate braking power!
