Fork material
The fork is made out of carbon, so, it is super light and stiff. In conclusion, a carbon fork gives you great control when steering, and is also more forgiving.
Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the 5200 WSD model has 700c aluminum wheels. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek 5200 WSD has Rim brakes installed. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
